Gurubarbers is a local barber shop and school that offers lessons to men on how to shave, as well as full grooming and barber services.

We created a communication strategy that separated Gurubarbers from an already crowded market by communicating their different approach to their services.
COMMUNICATION STRATEGY & BRAND IDENTITY





By using the existent color palette, we decided to create a playful, visually engaging identity using all the elements found in a barber shop.

Shears, single blade razors, brushes, and other tools became the center of our designs.
The language we used had a tongue and cheek tone, to keep everything fun, informal and friendly

The overall aesthetic was simple, colorful, and inviting. Using the word "guru", we created in-store pop to promote services and products that were fun to see and read, enticing the target to begin their shaving experience.


The experience continued on-line, where Gurubarbers stood out by creating engaging visuals to promote simple offers like 50% off of their services.
The result was a consistent, fun, engaging experience at every touch point with the brand. From shopping bags, gift certificates, POP, to social media promos and content, the communication strategy helped Gurubarbers with their mission of "changing the world one shave at a time"
